We have compiled a list of board positions that we need to make our region run smoother. There are a lot of reasons to volunteer for these positions—you get to know what's happening in the region earlier than most parents, you become an advocate for all the children in AYSO and well, it's fun! We're going to add one more thing to that list: Board Scholarships. Every ACTIVE board member will pay only $25 per child to play AYSO soccer. That's a huge savings for you if you are willing to give your time to make the region run smoothly! The positions we are looking for are:

Assistant Regional Commissioner—attend board meetings and help Regional Commissioner (after one year as assistant, you will move into the Regional Commissioner position)

Assistant Registrar—attend board meetings and help with entering player data into system and with registrations (after one year, you will become the Regional Registrar.)

Battle Creek Sub-Regional Commissioner—attend board meetings, help find coaches for your community and be an advocate for AYSO for Battle Creek (without someone in this position, Battle Creek players will be integrated into the teams from Norfolk)

Assistant Coach Administrator—attend board meetings, will help recruit coaches for teams and give information out to them

Referee Administrator—attend board meetings, must be a certified regional referee (can get this—we'll pay for it—in Columbus on July 28th), answer questions about the Laws of the Game, coordinate efforts of our referees for each match in the region

Auditor—attend board meetings, conduct an annual audit, help treasurer with duties where possible

Fundraising and Sponsor Coordinator—attend board meetings, establish a fundraising committee who will oversee fundraising events for our region, establish and communicate with corporate sponsors for our region

Assistant Field Director—attend board meetings, work with Field Director to ensure fields are ready and safe for play, would include painting, maintenance of equipment and grassy areas, work in a capacity to aid the Field Director

U6 Division Coordinator—attend board meetings, work directly with the Coach Administrator to ensure that the U6 Coaches understand the Laws of the Game as they apply to that division, answer questions, troubleshoot problems for that division

U8 Division Coordinator—attend board meetings, work directly with the Coach Administrator to ensure that the U8 Coaches understand the Laws of the Game as they apply to that division, answer questions, troubleshoot problems for that division

U10+ Division Coordinator—attend board meetings, work directly with the Coach Administrator to ensure that the U10, U12 and U19 Coaches understand the Laws of the Game as they apply their divisions, answer questions, troubleshoot problems for those divisions

Special Events Coordinator—attend board meetings, line up volunteers to help with concessions, registration days, picture day, other events that may occur where we need additional volunteers to help run the region

Publicity Coordinator—attend board meetings, contact area media and give them accurate information about upcoming events or events of interest for our region, communicate with Webmaster so the information can be included on our website

VIP Coordinator—attend board meetings, coordinate a VIP Program for our region
